Monel K500 Plate (UNS N05500/ W.Nr. 2.4375) is a nickel-copper alloy which combines the excellent corrosion resistance of Monel 400 Plate with the added advantages of greater strength and hardness. In common with other high nickel alloys, Alloy K500 Plate is susceptible to stress corrosion cracking in moist, aerated hydrofluoric or hydrofluosilicic acid vapour. Monel K500 Sheet has excellent resistance is shown to a wide range of media from pure water to mineral acids, salts and alkalis. Monel K500 Coil is virtually immune to Chloride-ion stress corrosion cracking.
