End protection: specify suitable end caps or covers where required to reduce entry of dirt and moisture and to protect prepared ends.
Surface separation: agree wrapping, separators and contact protection appropriate to the finish. Avoid unprotected contact that could scratch or mark the material.
Bundle support: specify unit weight and dimensions to match handling equipment. Agree supports, restraints and lifting arrangements that reduce movement and bending during transit.
Identification and outer packing: request clear grade, size, quantity and heat or lot labels. Confirm whether bundles, pallets or wooden cases are appropriate to the destination and shipment method.
