Nichrome 80 Ni80Cr20 Electrical Resistance Alloy Wire and Strip

Nichrome 80 Alloy Overview
Nichrome 80 (Ni80Cr20) is a nickel-chromium electrical resistance alloy used for heating elements and resistance components. Its combination of high resistivity, oxidation resistance, hot strength and form stability supports service in household appliances, industrial furnaces and precision heating systems.
The maximum continuous element temperature in air can reach approximately 1200°C, but the allowable operating temperature depends on wire or strip dimensions, atmosphere, surface load, thermal cycling and element design. A protective chromium-oxide layer develops during suitable high-temperature service.
