Hastelloy B3 (UNS N10675) is a nickel-molybdenum alloy with improved thermal stability compared with earlier B-type alloys. Its low carbon content supports fabrication and use in the as-welded condition.

B3 pipe and tube are selected for equipment handling reducing and non-oxidizing acids, including hydrochloric, hydrobromic, sulfuric, acetic, and formic acid service. Final material condition, dimensions, testing, and documentation should be specified on the purchase order.
