What is (UN06625)Inconel 625?

Inconel 625 is a material with very good resistance to pitting, cracking and corrosion cracking. Inconel 625 is highly resistant in a wide variety of organic and mineral acids. Good high temperature strength.

Feature

**Excellent mechanical properties at very low and high temperatures.

** Outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice and intercrystalline corrosion.

**Almost completely immune to chlorine induced stress corrosion cracking.

**High temperature to 1050 degrees Celsius high oxidation resistance.

**Good resistance to acids, such as nitric, phosphoric, sulfuric and hydrochloric acids, and alkalis, making it possible to build thin structural parts with high heat transfer.

Inconel 625 processing performance
•Capacity – The machine should be rigid and as overwhelmed as possible.
•Rigidity – Workpieces and tools should remain rigid. Minimize tool overhang.
•Tool Sharpness – Make sure your tools are always sharp. Change sharp tools regularly, not out of necessity. A wear area of 0.015 inches is considered a blunt tool.
•Cutters – Positive rake cutters are used in most machining operations. For intermittent cuts and heavy cuts, consider negative rake tools. Carbide cutters are recommended for most applications. High-speed knives with lower productivity can be used and are generally recommended for intermittent cutting.
•Aggressive Cutting – Use heavy-duty, constant feed to maintain aggressive cutting action. If the feed rate slows down and the tool stays in the kerf, work hardening occurs, tool life is reduced, and close tolerances cannot be achieved.
•Lubrication – Lubricants are required, soluble oils are recommended, especially when using carbide tools.

 Inconel 625 application fields

♦Parts that need to be exposed to sea water and high mechanical stress.
Oil and gas production where hydrogen sulfide and elemental sulfur are present at temperatures in excess of 150 degrees Celsius.
♦Components exposed to flue gas or flue gas desulfurization plants.
♦Flare chimneys on an offshore oil platform.
♦Hydrocarbon processing for tar sands and oil shale recovery projects.
